How to get module kits in the updated Demo
The reworked post-battle shop sells themed boxes instead of individual kits. Choose a turret box for defenses or a module box for production. The Despot’s Chamber also produces free random module kits slowly, with more humans increasing its output. Unwanted kits can be sold in the shop; demolishing a built module does not return its kit.

Follow these steps
When the post-battle shop appears after a wave, choose a box based on the problem you need to solve. The September update explicitly separates a turret choice for stronger defenses from a module choice for struggling production. Read the offered theme before spending, rather than assuming an older direct-kit shop is still in use.
Enlarge ↗The themed-box shop introduced in the September Demo overhaul. Prices and offers shown here belong to this example. Choose from the selection of kits provided by that box. Some modules can arrive with modifiers already installed. Match the result to your current economy and space instead of planning around an exact kit that has not appeared.
Use the Despot’s Chamber as another source. Increase its staffing when the rest of the ship can spare those humans: more humans there produce more kits. The kits are random and the production is slow, so this supplements the shop rather than guaranteeing a particular production module before the next wave.
If a kit is not useful to the run, sell it in the post-battle shop and put that money toward another themed box. This is a way to recycle unwanted kit value before building it. It is not the same as demolishing an already-built module.
Check which stage you are at before giving up a kit. Demolition and selling unused kits have different consequences.
Keep the kit distinction clear Situation Consequence Unused kit you do not want The September notes say you can sell it in the post-battle shop. Kit you want but have not received Choose a suitable box theme or wait for Chamber output; the result stays random. Module or turret already constructed Demolition returns all construction resources, but does not return the kit. Want to replace a weak turret’s position Move the turret to keep it; relocation is slow and includes downtime. Plan around the current randomization. Demo patch v0.10.12 makes kits not yet seen in the run more likely and kits seen recently less likely. It reduces repeat pressure; it does not promise a specific missing kit on the next purchase. Expand only once you know the module dimensions and the space you need.
How to tell it worked
You receive a kit from the themed-box selection or Despot’s Chamber output. Before constructing it, check that its required space and a buildable adjacent module slot are available.
If it does not work
If the desired kit has not appeared, keep the plan flexible rather than expecting a guaranteed roll. Choose a theme that addresses the current shortage, use Chamber output if you can spare the workers, and sell unwanted unused kits. If the kit is available but the slot is not, check completed-module adjacency in the construction guide.
